now have confirmed specs for the iPhone 16 and the much anticipated Apple Watch Series 10.
Everything
is focusing on refined design, improved performance, and new features
that'll
be leaving people with a sprinkle of "How did I ever live without this?". Here's everything we know:
iPhone 16: Apple's Newest Obsession
Buckle up, iPhone lovers;
we've been waiting for this!
Apple's latest release is all about refining what we already love and, adding a little extra spice in places we didn't know we needed it.
Design & Display:
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus maintain the familiar aluminium build but now feature a vertical camera layout (I was right in our last article!).
For the Pro models, Apple has refined the design with thinner bezels, larger screens (6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max), and a titanium frame, making them more durable and lighter.
And did I mention the colour options? The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will be available in five colours: Black,
White,
Pink, Teal, and Ultramarine (which is so pretty!). Whereas the Pro and Pro Max will be available in
Black,
White, Natural and Desert Titanium.
New Button:
Apple threw in some cherry-on-top extras
too.
The Action Button is here to
make sure
you've got instant access to whatever you want. Camera, flashlight, notes—you name it!
Camera Updates:
Filters? Editing? Who needs those when you have a 48MP camera and faster-than-ever quad-pixel sensor? Get ready to stun your followers with zero shutter lag and ultra-crisp selfies.
Oh, and if
you’re a video
junkie, the 4K at 120fps is about to be your best friend.
Extra points for the new Camera Control button
that gives you
full power over zoom and exposure.
Genmoji:
Here's the showstopper: Genmoji. Your emojis are about to get real extra. Want a rainbow cat, wearing sunglasses, and doing the cha-cha? Just type it, and
bam,
you've got it.
Okay, I
don't actually know if you can be that detailed,
but you can make your own emojis. The example Apple showed us was a Disco Ball Pigeon, which is insane. Step aside Emoji Kitchen!
Apple Watch Series 10: It's Finally Here!
It's better, bolder, and more beautiful than ever. With a thinner designer and wider OLED display, this one's going to make your wrist look real good! There's plenty of new tech crammed into this tiny powerhouse, so let's break down why you'll be wanting the Series 10.
Design & Display
Like I said, it's thinner AND bigger with that fresh new wide-angle OLED display (first of its kind,
btw). A bigger screen means easier swiping and scrolling (no more squinting) and a sleek, comfortable design perfect for all-day wear. It'll be coming in two sizes 42mm and 46mm.
Don't freak out!! Your current Apple Watch Bands will still fit the Series 10! Bands that currently fit the 38/40/41mm Apple Watch will fit the new 42mm Apple Watch. While bands that currently fit the 42/44/45/49mm Apple Watch will fit the new 46mm Apple Watch.
As for screen protectors, because the Series 10 is thinner your old screen protector isn't gonna cut it. But don't stress—we've got Series 10 compatible protectors coming soon!
New Colours
This new series is not just
smart;
it'll
be serving
major looks
too. Available in the new Jet
Black aluminium finish and Natural,
Gold, and Slate in Titanium.
Performance
The series
10 will
be packing a punch with the S10 SiP chip -
which is basically like having a mini supercomputer on your wrist. You can also say hello to my new favourite feature—automatic workout detection!
Battery Life
While
Apple's keeping it hush-hush on the exact battery specs,
they've announced that
there will be a more efficient charging coil
that will speed up charging and allow for longer battery life.
Health & Fitness
The Series
10’s depth gauge goes up to 6 metres, so whether
you're just dipping a toe or taking on the ocean, this watch has your back. Plus,
it’s got sleep apnea detection (beauty sleep matters, okay?)
Water Resistant & Louder
Not only is the Series 10 water-resistant (shower-proof, swim-proof, life-proof), but
it’s also got a brand-new speaker
